Doing your Best in an Examination

An examination is more than a test of your knowledge of a subject. it is also a test of your ability to understand the questions set in your examination paper. Most importantly, it is a test of how you organize your knowledge through effective answers.

As a student you should get a good idea of why you are sitting for your examination. your father may promise you incentives like cash and gifts but the motivation should come within you. Once you have done that set your mind to work steadily throughout your studies.

Prepare a timetable for your revision. Start revising six to eight weeks before your examination. Remember that in revising you should be simply refreshing your memory. Revise each subject over the whole revision period, not just one subject at a time.

In an examination read all questions carefully. Make sure you understand what is required in each answer. Then decide which questions you can best answer.
Remember these three important points again :-

- THINK
- SELECT RELEVANT MATERIAL
- PLAN CONCISE ANSWER
