Olympic Mathematics

Have you ever hear about Olympic Mathematics? Olympic Mathematics is now very famous in Kuala Lumpur and Johor. Olympic Mathematics is a useful Mathematics subject which can help students to think logically in Mathematics. This sure will help all the students when they step into secondary school or higher level of education.

Not all the students have chances to go through this subject, only the selected and the talented will have chance. Actually, this is quite unfair to those who are weak. They still have chance to learn it but till they reach higher level of this program, they will automatically give up because maybe their talented is not in learning Olympic Mathematics.

Olympic Mathematics is an international Mathematics. Every year, there are many competitions for students to take part. If they are really good, the company will send them to compete in foreign country. They are quite a number of students who already get scholarship studying at Singapore. So, how about the fees? I think it’s reasonable in this new globalization era.

Learning Olympic Mathematics is definitely better in learning mental arithmetic. If your children have the chance to go follow the lesson, don’t miss it. Hopefully this Olympic Mathematics will help our kids in learning Mathematics.

Gejala Mat Rempit

Punca-punca.

Kegiatan rempit amat membimbangkan pada dewasa ini. Media massa sama ada elektronik mahupun media cetak sentiasa memaparkan tentang kegiatan rempit dalam kalangan remaja. Kegiatan yang semakin menular ini amat membahayakan diri remaja sendiri.Aksi-aksi seperti berdiri atas motosikal, memandu dengan laju boleh mendatangkan kecelakaan jalan raya. "Sesal dahulu pendapatan, sesal kemudian tiada berguna." Para remaja harus menghargai nyawa mereka.

Kalau ada asap, tentu ada api. Banyak punca remaja terbabit dengan kegiatan yang tidak bermoral ini. Antara faktor yang paling dominan ialah institusi keluarga yang longgar. Ibu bapa yang sibuk bekerja kurang memberi perhatian kepada anak-anak. Anak-anak yang rasa diabaikan mula terbabit dengan kegiatan yang tidak bermoral dengan tujuan untuk menarik perhatian. Malahan yang lebih mengecewakan ada ibu bapa yang lebih mementingkan pencapaian akademik anak-anak tetapi mengabaikan didikan agama. Kesannya anak-anak yang tidak dibimbing dengan didikan agama, tidak berasa takut untuk melakukan sesuatu yang bertentangan dengan agama. Selain itu, anak-anak rasa tertekan tinggal di rumah dengan kerenah ibu bapa yang membosankan. Ibu bapa sewajarnya menjadi guru dan role model terbaik untuk anak-anak di rumah kerana bagaimana acuan begitulah kuihnya.

Pengaruh rakan sebaya juga banyak mendorong remaja terlibat dengan tingkah laku yang berbahaya ini. Kadang-kadang rakan yang kita pilih tidak menunjukkan teladan yang positif sebaliknya mendorong untuk melakukan kegiatan yang tidak sihat untuk merempit. Selain itu, apabila menyaksikan rakan-rakan begitu hebat di jalan raya timbul keinginan untuk berlumba dalam kalangan mereka. Akibatnya remeja terjebak dengan kegiatan rempit ini.

Selain itu, kendiri remaja sendiri yang suka mencuba sesuatu yang baru. Sememangnya remaja sentiasa suka bergaya dan berlagak. Apabila ada sesuatu kegiatan yang berbahaya maka semangat mereka membuak-buak untuk mencuba. Mereka suka menunjuk-nunjuk bahawa mereka amat hebat dalam kegiatan yang tidak bermoral ini. sewajarnya pembentukan kendiri remaja perlu dilaksanakan sebaik-baiknya si sekolah terutama ketika di bangku sekolah rendah lagi seperti kata pepatah,'meletur buluh biarlah daripada rebungnya'.

Untuk membendung masalah ini, kerjasama daripada pelbagai pihak amat diperlukan. Pihak sekolah perlu memastikan didikan yang sebenar dicurahkan kepada anak murid. Manakala, ibu bapa pula perlu memberi perhatian kepada nank-anak dengan nilai kasih sayang. Masyarakat jangan bersikap seperti enau dalam belukar, melepaskan pucuk masing-masing. Intihanya, kerjasama semua pihak pasti dapat membendung permasalahan yang semakin kronik ini dalam kalanga remaja.
